Dummy Proof Guide: How to Consistently Boost Yield

A yield boost of up to 30% might sound unbelievable, but in short- and medium-cycle crops, providing optimal conditions for plants from the start can achieve this impressive result.

Zayndu’s ActivatedAir technology enhances a seed’s ability to absorb water while fine-tuning its hormone levels to speed up germination and early growth stages.

Our customers globally witness that seeds treated with ActivatedAir outperform both untreated seeds and those subjected to conventional treatments. This results in quicker crop growth, larger yields, and a reduced time frame to meet target crop specifications.

What Does This Look Like?

Spinach

Figure One: The same number of untreated spinach seeds (left) are planted as the ActivatedAir-treated spinach seeds (right).

ActivatedAir has shown a much fuller leaf, with less space in the tray due to unsuccessful seed germination. This demonstrates the ability to not only enhance seed germination but also ensure a higher success rate and a more even crop.

Figure Two: Fresh weight measurements of untreated spinach (left) and ActivatedAir-treated spinach (right). The untreated reads 41.1g, with the ActivatedAir showing 53.2g.

With almost a 29% increase in fresh weight, it’s clear that the ActivatedAir-treated seeds show to be more resilient.

Sorrel

Similarly to the previous demonstration, the treated side highlights the health and resilience in seeds. These are the kind of results our customers get to see on a daily basis, as they reap the benefits of an increase in overall crop yield thanks to ActivatedAir.

Whether you’re in a greenhouse or indoor farm, we deliver protocols that are made to give your seeds the best chance to thrive. These protocols work at providing you yield increases, such as this one.

Lettuce

Figure Five: The same number of untreated lettuce seeds (left) are planted as the ActivatedAir-treated lettuce seeds (right).

With just over 17% more fresh weight, ActivatedAir-treated lettuce achieves the expected increase. In terms of yearly profitability, if each of your lettuce cycles were to get this sort of yield increase every time, that would mean more produce to sell (without having to plant more).

Applications in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA):

Inclusive of all growers, whether you are CEA operators or traditional farmers, we have created an accessible machine that accommodates protocols for every type of seed, ranging from microgreens to vines. Critically, it treats seeds on-site, giving growers control over when they prime their seeds.

Our ActivatedAir seed treatments are ideal for:

  • Greenhouses and Glasshouses
  • Indoor Farms
  • Polytunnels
  • All Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA)

It Really is THAT Simple

But we know that some things seem too good to be true, and so we offer a trial programme for you to see the benefits in your own greenhouse or indoor farm, firsthand.

Or if you want a more personal touch, you can set up a meeting with one of our specialists to find out the direct solutions we have for your crops.
