Our simple seed treatment and priming process harnesses cold plasma to create ActivatedAir™, the world’s first application of this technology on seeds.

ActivatedAir™ performs two roles:

Eliminates any seed-borne pathogens, stopping them from contaminating your facility and reducing seedling diseases like damping off.
Kick-starting the seed’s metabolic processes, effectively priming it ready for sowing.

Who does it suit?

ActivatedAir^TM works in controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) systems including greenhouses, vertical farms and glasshouses. It is being used on a multitude of different crop types and varieties in these settings.

Customer data shows that ActivatedAir™ has a positive impact on the rate and uniformity of germination, and accelerates seedling growth regardless of the crop or environment. However, our expert plant scientists work with every new customer to refine the protocol for their exact circumstances. That way, we can push the performance to the maximum. It’s not uncommon for new customers to start with a 5% yield improvement, and for this to be 25% or more once they have completed their trial period.

ActivatedAir™ is being used by some of the biggest and most sophisticated vertical farms in the world, as well as more traditional greenhouses. The most common crops are leafy greens and micro greens, but there’s experience with a wide range of crops beyond these.
